Project Brief
One of the world’s largest privately held companies, based in PNW, wanted to find a way to extend the life of their clarifier effluent wastewater tank. With a proven track record in the Wastewater Industry, they chose SPI’s Polyshield HT™ 100F polyurea coating to seal the degraded steel tank walls and trough.
They knew of SPI’s reputation, and that they could depend on a high performance coating that would stay effective for years.
Our Solution
The steel tank was drained, washed and abrasive blasted to remove scaling. SPI’s single component primer, PolyPrime™ SC, was applied to the steel walls and trough to help eliminate pin holing. SPI’s Polyshield HT™ 100F polyurea coating is a chemical-resistant protective lining.
This makes it the ideal performance coating for refurbishing a clarifier that is exposed to various sewage treatment chemicals.
Exhibiting high abrasion resistance, a Polyshield HT™ 100F anti corrosion coating will offer protection to the steel tank to extend the service life of the clarifier for many more years.
